This is a murder mystery in which a brutal police detective investigates a brutal murder involving a seductive writer. Since the film’s release, Stone has spoken on numerous occasions about the scene where her vulva was shown while she crossed her legs without her knowledge. She mentioned that she was told that they would hint at it but not actually show it.

Sharon Stone spoke with CNN’s Chris Wallace about what the scene looks like in The basic Instinct (1992) made her a big sex symbol. In the film, she played Catherine Tramell, a serial killer and the lover of Detective Nick Curran (played by Michael Douglas).
Sure, the actress’s performance in the film earned her a Golden Globe nomination, but the night transition wasn’t easy for her. She recalled:
“My acting teacher Roy London told me, “This is an action film. And this scene stops all the action. He said, “So every moment in that scene has to be very specific. You have to be super present and aware of what’s going on.”
Stone noted that being present in the moment is “The key to the game, it’s the key to life, it’s the key to everything.” But she also regrets being “super present” in the moment and never thinking it would “forever change the dynamic” of her life.

Sharon Stone is worried about legal problems after fans surrounded her car
In the same interview with CNN, the actress recalled that she went to buy sunglasses a few days after the release of her thriller. The basic Instinct. Fans spotted her and attacked her car when she stopped at a red light. As the star explained (via TMZ):
“I didn’t know that on Friday when this movie came out, I would basically be a nobody, and on Tuesday I’d go get glasses in Sunset Plaza and go out and get out in my little 325 BMW and I’d stop at a traffic light and that’s it. They’ll climb on my car.”
The 65-year-old continued:
“And the lights would turn green and the cars would start beeping and I didn’t know, is it legal to drive with people sitting on top of your car?”
She admitted that she was worried that she might go to jail if any of her enthusiastic fans got hurt. Because inside she was constantly thinking: “I drive a car? Don’t drive? What is the law about people in your car? …” Stone also warned her fans not to get into her car because at that moment she had no idea what she should do.
