LeBron James: ‘It’s always been like this’

LeBron James spends a lot of his free time watching football, especially his hometown team, Ohio State. King James was pleased to see his team remain undefeated to start the season, although the Buckeyes nearly lost to Notre Dame in an exciting game that threatened to spill into overtime.

King was a delighted spectator as Ohio State moved up two spots to fourth with a 17-14 win on Saturday.

“This is a tough team,” Ohio State coach Ryan Day said. “We’re proud to be from Ohio. Ohio has always stood against the world and will continue to do so.”

Day showered his players with praise in this emotional brief clip:

“We’ve been through bad halves the past few years. That’s it. Everybody wants to question these guys. These guys are the warriors here.”

LeBron James was a fan of this speech. The Ohio native shared a snippet of the content on his Instagram Story, writing:

“Always been this way!!!”

LeBron James seemed to agree with the coach, mostly because of how sympathetic he was to the comment. He was always on the radar during his two stints with the Cleveland Cavaliers, and even when he won a championship with the Cavaliers, he was questioned about whether he could do it again.

LeBron James will enter his 21st year with energy and a desire to win

Only five players have played 21 years in the NBA, and James will be the sixth player expected to win another championship while the other five players have not. Many have played fringe roles like Vince Carter, but LeBron James remains one of the best players in the league among hundreds of players.

Last season, the Los Angeles Lakers reached the Western Conference Finals, losing to the eventual champion Denver Nuggets. But James isn’t content with just making it to the conference finals, or even the Finals, he wants to win.

The Lakers will overtake the Boston Celtics in the perennial battle for the most championships in what could be one of the last seasons in which King James can compete.
