Pato Fillor hospitalized with pneumonia

Argentinian football’s historic goalkeeper Ubaldo Fillor was admitted to the Finochetto nursing home with bilateral pneumonia. “I feel strong,” he said.

Ubaldo Matildo Fillol, one of the best goalkeepers in Argentine football history, has been hospitalized with bilateral pneumonia. He had been under observation for the same disease in September 2021 after contracting Covid-19.

“Pato”, 73, remains hospitalized at the Finochetto nursing home in the municipality of Buenos Aires, accompanied by his wife Olga and son Sebastian.

“I was hospitalized again with bilateral pneumonia. “I feel strong and look forward to returning home as soon as possible to continue enjoying life and fulfilling various pre-agreed commitments.” This is the message Philol posted on his social networks.

He added: “I would like to thank the authorities of Finoccito Nursing Home, Dr. Capua and the entire medical team. A heartfelt hug to everyone and thank you for your messages of support and constant love.”

Fillol, who won the world championship with Argentina in 1978, quickly gained the support of thousands of followers. Among them, Argentine football legends such as Mario Kempes, “Rabbit” Tarantini, “Beto” Alonso and others left messages.
