The Municipal Medical Service (SMM) organized a Health Services Expo in the towns of Nuevo Rosarito and Catavinia, which were part of the delegations of Punta Prieta and Marmor respectively. The initiative is part of monthly health care activities in the southern region of San Quintin and both sites were visited last weekend.
The doctors in charge of this activity are Jesús Javier Martínez Guzmán and Lady Fabiola Rodríguez Hurtado, both of whom belong to the Municipal Health Service and have the cooperation and support of the Municipal Social Welfare Department.
The first town had a health home that provided care for 15 people and a home visit was conducted for an immobile elderly person. In the case of Catavinia, a total of 35 people are receiving treatment.
Guadalupe Valdez Figueroa, director of the Municipal Social Welfare Department, reported that the most common diseases treated in both places are type II diabetes, systemic arterial hypertension, irritable bowel syndrome symptoms, common colds and urinary tract infections.

Prevention and self-care
The official invited citizens to use the services and mentioned the medical dispensary located in Nuevo Ejido, California. He emphasized that the general public should make full use of the medical services provided by this city to promote self-care, prevent diseases, timely diagnosis and treatment, and obtain high-quality and warm care.
Valdez Figueroa concluded by encouraging the community to take advantage of the medical services provided to them by the city government to improve their well-being and general health.
