There is no peace for Kanye West; and some may talk about karma. In early September, an American artist reported that the people behind the account were responsible for posting on the Internet – without his permission – a series of unreleased songs (Shy, can’t look, NASDAQ, We made it baby AND Mr Miyagi, collaboration with DJ Khaled). The lawsuit against unknown persons stated “significant financial losses as a direct consequence” of the leak.
Now, just a few weeks later, the entire (or almost entire) unreleased Ye project has appeared on Reddit and YouTube. let `s talk about Jesus is King 2, the follow-up to 2019’s collaboration with Dr. Dre. The album was planned for 2020, Ye said at the time, but was then derailed first by the pandemic and then (likely) by Kanye’s rapid decline in reputation. I go back to Mr. West’s November 2019 tweet: “I spent all my time trying to make my beats sound as good as Dr. Dre. Who would have thought that a record about God would be enough for him to mix my tracks? Spend time with God and He will take care of the rest.”
Various tracks planned for the album have leaked online. There are remixes of Dr. tracks. Dre Jesus is Lordnew verses of new verses from 2 Chainz, Travis Scott, Snoop Dogg, Asap Ferg, Pusha T, Marsha Ambrosius and others, plus a version by Eminem Use this Gospel already appeared in God did DJ Khaled (2022).
