During his first of two tours in Atlanta, Drake had nothing but praise for ATL, the support of the southern metropolis, the artists applauded it and everything the city has done for rap music.

Taking the State Farm Arena stage with local stars. 21 SavageDrizzy rhetorically asked the crowd, “Where would any of us be without Atlanta?”
“All the love you show, all the musicians you produce, all the contributions you make,” Drake continued, “that’s by far the most important place in rap music, you should be very proud of yourself.”
“All the artists that I’ve worked with best, all the artists that I love, all the artists that inspire me, most of them are from right here in Atlanta,” he added.
Among them was one of those Atlanta artists. Upsone third Migoswith whom Drake often collaborated, and he took the time to lovingly pay tribute to his late friend, who was killed almost a year ago.
“The first time I came to Atlanta, I played a remix of Versace,” Drake recalled as he twirled around the stage. While the crowd immediately began cheering, expecting Drizzy to erupt in classic fireworks, he instead gave a heartfelt congratulations to his late friend. “I just wanted to say while I’m here, rest in peace to my brother Takeoff. One of my first brothers here in Atlanta.”
