Missy Elliott’s opening verse on “Lose Control” took on a whole new meaning for Ciara.
The 37-year-old R&B star, who is featured on the 2005 hit, took to TikTok on Wednesday to do a little seated dance, showing off her bulge.
In the video, a bare-faced, pregnant Ciara drinks from a cup while dancing to the track. The video’s caption reads: “Friend: always instill life into yourself, boo!” with an empty space for “I (Ciara)” dancing with a curved belly. Ciara lip-syncs to Elliott’s opening verse—”Got a cute face/Plump waist/Thick legs in shape/Ass shaking both ways/Gonna make you do a double take”—and cheekily sticks out her tongue at the end of the video.
This isn’t the first time Ciara has danced around flaunting her baby bump. Shortly after announcing she was pregnant with her fourth child (her third with husband Russell Wilson), the star posted a TikTok of herself dancing to her recent single “How We Roll” with Chris Brown on Aug. 14, which included a nod to the football star.
“Yeah, from above, summer in the wind/You look at me like that again, we’re making another baby/You’re my heart, I’m your rib,” she lip-synced in the video as she walked away from the camera to dance. and rub her bump. “If I ever had to do it for you, I’d take the bet/And I can tell you’re ready/Three, two, one, it’s falling like confetti/Put ten to one frames in again/If we take this down Promise over the phone that we will be on trend.”
