Meta’s AI chatbot features celebrities like Tom Brady, Paris Hilton and more

Meta creates AI chatbots using the likenesses of actors, influencers, Super Bowl champions, and more.
Tech Crunch reports that “a ton of celebrities and influencers… have signed up to let Meta use their likenesses to have some fun. There are now 28 AI characters based on celebrities, but built entirely with AI, ranging from sports, music, social Media and other fields.”
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg wants to give chatbots life and personality.
“It’s not just about answering questions,” Zuckerberg said of the chatbot. “It’s about entertainment, it’s about helping you do something to connect with the people around you.”
Meta admitted at Meta Connect 2023 that as of now, chatbots will respond in text form, and that the chatbot’s knowledge is “limited to information that mostly exists before 2023, meaning some responses may be out of date.”
Variety provides half of the list of celebrities who have signed up to become chatbots so far.
The list includes:
- Charli D’Amelio “Coco, the dance lover”
- Chris Paul “plays Perry, a professional golfer who helps you perfect your shot”
- Dwyane Wade “stars as triathlete Victor and inspires you to be the best version of yourself”
- Izzy Adesanya “plays Luiz, a flamboyant MMA prospect who can back up his trash talk”
- Kendall Jenner ‘plays Billie, the no-nonsense, fight-to-die companion’
- LaurDIY “Plays Dylan, the eccentric DIY and craft expert and companion to Gen Z”
- MrBeast “Play Zach, the big brother who roasts you – because he cares”
- Naomi Osaka “plays Tamika, an anime-obsessed Sailor Senshi in training”
- Paris Hilton “plays Amber, the detective’s partner in the whodunnit”
- Raven Ross “plays Angie, a fitness queen who balances fitness with meditation”
- Roy Choi “plays Max, an experienced sous chef who provides cooking tips and tricks”
- Sam Cole “plays Sally, a free-spirited friend who tells you when to take a deep breath”
- Snoop Dogg “As a Dungeon Master, choose your own adventure with the Dungeon Master”
- Tom Brady “plays Blue, a wisecracking, no-holds-barred sports debater.”
In addition to the AI chatbot, “this year we’ll also get the latest details about Meta’s upcoming mainstream VR headset, the Quest 3. The company announced the product and showed off its design back in June, but promised that it won’t be available for now Details will be announced at this year’s Meta Connect. While we know the new (hopefully affordable) headphones will be launched at the event, there’s no official announcement yet on their price, specs, or when you can buy your own,” The Verge at Meta Connect Written after 2023.

When he was asked what other thoughts he had about the CEO, Robot said: “His company exploits people for money and he doesn’t care. It needs to stop!”
Other comments made by the bot included calling Zuckerberg “creepy.”
Meta is still working out the chatbot’s kinks, but making it available to users will ensure it learns more languages and can “talk” to more users about more topics.
