Matthew Vaughn’s film promises to reinvent the spy genre.
Dua Lipa is extremely grateful for her next big screen debut in the film Barbie. However, the famous singer has another cinematic project in the public domain, we are talking about the film “Argyle”, which is currently directed by Matthew Vaughn. I know of his work in Kick-Ass (2010) and Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014).
The Belt is based on the novel by author Ellie Conway, a spy thriller with a colorful and comical tone. The story introduces us to Argyle, who plays Henry Cavill, a world-class spy who, in addition to his impeccable work, has a peculiar problem: he suffers from amnesia. Having proven his condition, one of the villains makes him believe that he is a best-selling writer in order to get rid of him, but after regaining his memories, he begins an unstoppable hunt for his opponents.
The official trailer opens with Dua Lipa and Cavill performing a sensual dance, but then reveals that she is a charmer who uses seduction as a powerful weapon.
The Witcher actor and One Kiss performer are not the only international stars in the film industry. There’s Sam Rockwell, Bryce Dallas Howard, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, John Cena, Samuel L. Jackson and Adriana DeBose.
Argyle hits theaters on February 2, 2024, so it will take a few months to see this huge slate combined into one film. This year will see Henry Cavill’s great return to the big screen, as well as this massive film starring Warface’s Ministry of Ungentlemanship, directed by Guy Ritchie.
Like Dua Lipa, the singer has demonstrated that despite her excellent musical abilities, she has hidden acting skills that we will soon be able to confirm in the movies. Images: Klasos
