Scott Derrickson interview ComicBook.comhe declared: “I don’t know what will happen with the sequel to Labyrinth: Where Anything Is Possible. We never got the script to where the studio wanted it to go, but I’m really proud of the work we did on the project. And it’s a difficult project, very difficult to turn into something commercially viable because it’s so inventive and surreal that there’s no way to do it economically.“.
The director added: “At the same time, it’s so bold and different that it’s difficult to convince the studio it has enough commercial value to make a profit. So I think it’s a challenging project to figure out how to pull off, but I can tell you that I’m really proud of the work that’s been done. We definitely had a great movie in mind.“.

However, Derrickson added: “The project is still in development, so I probably shouldn’t talk about the Goblin King’s plans because I think we had a really cool idea, but I don’t want to “burn it” in case the movie gets made.“.
