Were you one of the many who received a heartbreaking waitlist email from Ticketmaster for Olivia Rodrigo’s upcoming world tour? You still have the opportunity to watch her perform songs from Guts … as long as you agree that this happens in the comfort of your own home. In a surprise announcement Sunday, American Express announced that Rodrigo will perform in concert (exclusive to AmEX cardholders) on October 9 at the Ace Hotel Theater in Los Angeles. Billboard It was initially reported that Rodrigo would perform all the songs from his second album, but it turned out to be too good to be true – AmEx later confirmed to Vulture that Rodrigo would only perform part Guts, not the entire tracklist. In any case, tickets for Evening with Olivia Rodrigo tickets are already sold out (which is not shocking considering the venue seats 1,600). But fans who didn’t receive tickets will be able to stream the concert online. As Rodrigo explained in a press release, “People around the world can get a sneak preview of what’s to come on the tour!” because the show will be filmed and uploaded on her YouTube channel. According to AmEx, fans can stream Rodrigo’s performance from Tuesday, October 10th at 8:00 pm ET until Thursday, October 12th. It’s not the same as seeing her in person, but hey, it’s something.
