The wait is over as Big Brother, the ultimate social experiment, returns to screens tonight. Sixteen housemates arrive at the new Big Brother house in front of a live studio audience as they prepare to compete for the £100,000 cash prize.
One by one, each housemate arrives by car, getting to know the country. Greeted by hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best, the housemates make their way into the house and meet each other for the first time.
The iconic Big Brother house will be the scene of all the action as smart challenges, spicy nominations and live evictions return. The public once again plays a crucial role, voting throughout the series and ultimately determining the winner, who will walk away with a life-changing cash prize.
The first to arrive at the house was Jenkin, a 25-year-old bartender from Bridgend in Wales.

What made you apply to be a Big Brother housemate?
I was bored and thought I would do something different, in a new way.
What part of the experience are you most looking forward to?
I’m thinking of meeting new people. I’m looking forward to it, but I’m also scared of it because I think, “Oh, how this is going to go…” but everything will be fine.
How would your friends and family describe you?
Probably loud, messy and annoying.
Tell us an interesting fact about yourself…
I speak fluent Welsh, is that great? And I could probably rap a Cardi B album from start to finish.
What are you most likely to be nominated for?
I’m just talking about people, I won’t lie. I can’t keep secrets, it’s very difficult for me.
What would you do with the prize money if you won?
I was paying off my dad’s house and then placing a giant shopping order online.
Which celebrity would you dream of living with?
Probably Kim Woodburn, because then she’ll just do all the cleaning and I can leave it to her.
