Salma Hayek attended the Gucci Cosmos Vernissage exhibition in London today. In addition to Hayek, other notable visitors to the immersive exhibition included Paul Mescal, Pierpaolo Piccioli, Lila Moss and Daisy Edgar-Jones.
The From Dusk Till Dawn star wore royal blue slingback pumps for the occasion.
The actor’s shoes featured a matte light blue leather upper that flowed into sharp knife-like toes and thick straps that spanned the heels of Hayek’s feet, hence the aforementioned open-toe design. The straps appeared to be threaded or attached to gold chains, which added an attractive shine to the shoe’s silhouette.
To match her shoes, Hayek wore a cropped blue leather jacket, which she layered over a white ribbed top. The textured top was tucked into a high-waisted black leather midi skirt with a PVC-like sheen.
The Desperado actress’s skirt was belted, further highlighting her silhouette. Accessorizing her ensemble, Hayek wore cat-eye glasses with thick black frames, which she paired with a royal blue Gucci Jackie bag with dazzling silver plaid accents. To complete her look, Hayek wore a variety of gold jewelry.
Hayek has long worn platform shoes, both on and off the red carpet. For formal events, the “Frida” star often wears matte neutrals or metallic shoes, as well as pointed-toe boots or pumps from a number of luxury brands. When not working, she can also be seen wearing Stella McCartney platform brogues. Over the years, she has become a staple of Fashion Month, regularly attending fashion shows for brands such as Gucci, Balenciaga, Altuzarra and Saint Laurent.
The Gucci Cosmos exhibition was created by contemporary artist Es Devlin. The program includes works of art as well as pieces from Gucci’s extensive archive. The program will be open from October 11 and will end on December 31.
