CRAZY ABOUT YOU: Blackpink’s Lisa Manobal will take her dancing prowess—and global star power—to Paris club Crazy Horse, becoming a “Crazy Girl” herself.
The popular George V Avenue cabaret announced Tuesday that the K-pop star will headline five shows in September. 28, 29 and 30.
According to Crazy Horse, Manobal has long been a fan of her unique style and will perform several solo scenes, as well as perform with the troupe, reprising original numbers from the cabaret repertoire. These will include such popular musical numbers as “But I’m a Good Girl” and :Crisis? What crisis?
Manobal will wear regular costumes for the show, “giving them a personal touch.”
Crazy Horse has long welcomed guest stars to its compact stage, including Arielle Dombasle, Conchita Wurst, Pamela Anderson and Dita Von Teese, who helped the cabaret celebrate its 65th anniversary in 2015.
Cabaret is prized for its artistic approach, occasionally inviting guest artistic directors such as shoe guru Christian Louboutin and lingerie designer Chantal Thomass to design costumes and sets.
Manobal, known simply as Lisa to Blackpink’s legion of fans, is an ambassador for fashion house Celine, Roman jewelry house Bulgari, MAC Cosmetics and others.
The Thai music sensation, prized for his singing, rapping and dancing, has also become a fashion icon. In 2021, she was part of the jury of the prestigious French fashion award ANDAM.
Tickets for the shows are sold only on the Crazy Horse website, which was unavailable Tuesday night due to a long line.
