The 2023-2024 influenza and Covid-19 vaccination campaign has started this week in the basic health areas of Sistijena, Bonnhar and Riano. As a result, “target” groups can now book appointments for vaccination at health centers and clinics.

“Target” groups for seasonal influenza and COVID-19 vaccination:

– Persons 5 years of age or older in disability centers and nursing homes, as well as other long-term residents and residents of closed institutions.
– People under 60 years of age with dangerous conditions:
– Pregnant and postpartum women in any trimester of pregnancy
– People who live with someone who has some degree of immunosuppression
– Health and social care center staff and trainees
– Essential public service workers

In addition, recommendations for influenza vaccination in persons aged 5-18 years receiving long-term treatment with acetylsalicylic acid are also proposed, which is also novel; smokers and those with direct occupational contact with farm, poultry, pigs, mink or wild animals People with farm animals.

The “target” groups for seasonal vaccination with the new coronavirus vaccine:

– People with risk factors for severe COVID-19 and everyone age 60 and older.
