Serena Williams: “Women who support women are the greatest of greats!”

Serena Williams’ former coach Rene Stubbs recently paid tribute to pop stars Beyoncé and Taylor Swift.

Earlier on Thursday (October 12), Beyoncé showed her support for Taylor Swift by attending the premiere of her film The Eras Tour in Los Angeles. The Eras tour is the American singer-songwriter’s sixth ongoing tour.

The 32-time Grammy winner also posed with Swift on the red carpet at the film’s premiere, wearing a rather wild outfit.

Rennae Stubbs coached Serena Williams in her final professional tournament, and if her social media activity is anything to go by, she’s a fan of both It’s a pleasure to meet a star.

The former player-turned-coach had high praise for Beyoncé and Taylor Swift on her Instagram Story late Thursday. She wrote:

“Women who support women are the greatest of greats! LFG ladies!”

Rennae Stubbs herself is a huge supporter of women thriving in the coaching industry. She has coached several of the top players on the women’s tour, including Serena Williams, Eugenie Bouchard, Karolina Pliskova and Sam Stosur.

Meanwhile, Serena Williams has been living a happy life outside of the tennis world. At the time of her retirement, the 23-time Grand Slam champion said she was looking forward to “stepping away from tennis and moving on to other things that are important to her.”

Since then, the 42-year-old has taken up new hobbies, such as fashion and vlogging. She also manages her own independent clothing line, S by Serena. Earlier this year, the American legend stepped out in a stunning Gucci dress at the 2023 Met Gala with husband Alexis and eldest daughter Olympia.

She will also be named a “Fashion Icon” at the 2023 CFDA Fashion Awards in New York next month in recognition of her contribution to the industry.

Williams also made the most of his personal life. In August this year, she gave birth to her second daughter, Adira. The former world number one is currently undergoing postpartum care and regularly updates her fans on social media.

The 23-time major champion retires at the 2022 U.S. Open. The six-time champion’s final match in New York was against Australia’s Ajla Tomljanovic, who lost 7-5, 6-7(4) in the third round , defeated her 6-1.
