Nursing homes giving flu and coronavirus vaccinations

Last Wednesday, October 11, all users and staff who decided to do so were vaccinated against influenza, COVID-19 and pneumococcal disease.

Almost 100% of users and some staff have received different doses, including the annual flu dose or the fifth dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, in addition to a pneumococcal shot for those over 60 years old.

For their part, accommodation staff, together with the area’s regional manager Mercedes González and regional care coordinator Rafa Mata, completed the vaccination of them all in just two hours this Wednesday. The Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs recommends that all target groups receive influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations to effectively and safely prevent serious infections from these viruses and avoid hospitalization.
