A closed beta of Severed Steel, a parkour action game about a one-armed heroine, will take place in July

Severed Steel is a curious action movie that mixes cyberpunk, parkour and time dilation. Publisher Digerati and studio Greylock report that from July 14th to 21st, the game will be available for private testing on PC. They offer to apply for participation in the CBT through Discord.

Beta contains the following content:

  • 10 campaign levels,
  • 10 levels of arcade mode,
  • “Mutators” that modify the game – for example, “Floor is lava”,
  • several types of enemies, including flamethrowers and opponents with jetpacks.

A demo of Severed Steel was made available at a recent Steam festival and made it to the top 15 most downloaded samples during the event. Based on community feedback, the developers have changed the movement speed, interface and balance of weapons in the beta build.

Recall, the action tells about a girl named Steel, who lost her arm due to a bad corporation. The heroine’s path to retribution is barred by crowds of villains who will have to be dealt with using firearms, acrobatics and destructible voxel environments. AI controls enemies with a team interaction system.

The full version of Severed Steel will launch before the end of the year on PC (Steam), PlayStation and Xbox.
