The death occurred on Sunday, according to local media and confirmed by Health Minister Rosa Blanco. “On Sunday we received a case of a girl who had another illness with similar features, as all symptoms of the infection were fever, and despite all efforts, she arrived in a serious condition and remained at the hospital died. He worked at CTI for a while,” Blanco said.

“He died of septic shock. Cultures are currently being taken to determine what it was, whether it was bacterial or viral. “We have been working with public health epidemiology,” he added.

At the same time, Blanco said a 17-month-old minor (a relative of the deceased minor) was also hospitalized. “He was recently admitted to the hospital with gastroenteritis and his condition is progressing well. But none of them are scarlet fever cases,” he noted.
