The Association of Automotive Dealers (Acara) agreed with different State agencies the start-up of a project for the digitization of registration procedures, which will begin to be deployed in 2022 on an initial universe of 4.5 million applications and annual transfers and which will allow bypassing the visit to the automotive registry.
During the second semester of next year, the digitization process will begin at the dealers’ offices in the preparation of forms 01D / 08D, Procedures that will be initialed by the client’s digital signature in order to be sent electronically to the corresponding registry. In this step, it will not be necessary to go to the registry offices with the necessary documentation.
In order to fulfill all the registration requirements for the registration and transfer procedures, teams from the National Directorate of Automotive Registration and Pledge Credits (DNRPA) and Acara will launch together with the companies responsible for the technical aspects the analysis of all the processes , so that all the necessary elements for each procedure can be sent digitally from the concessionaire.
This was reported after a meeting held by the president of Acara, Ricardo Salome, with Maria Eugenia Doro Urquiza, National Director of the Registry of Automotive Property and Pledge Credits; Marcelo hermigarate, National Director of Administration Systems and Digital Signature; and the coordinator of Digital Signature, Iris Cidale.
Executives from the Encode and Lakaut companies also participated in the meeting, responsible for the technical platform for the development of the digitization process that seeks to streamline the procedures for the sale of used vehicles as well as the patenting of 0 kilometer units.
During 2022, the digitization process will begin at the concessionaires’ offices in the preparation of forms 01D / 08D, procedures that will be initialed by the client’s digital signature to be able to be sent electronically to the corresponding registry
The project scenario was based on an asset of approximately 4.5 million annual procedures between initial registrations and vehicle transfers, taking into account the projections that Acara makes over the 2022 horizon.
The objective of the project on this number of operations is to be able to send the signed documents through electronic means so that they have the same technical security and legal characteristics as the holographically signed documents.
“This is a process to be able to digitize the signatures of the clients, which will save them costs, time and having to go several times to the dealerships. This will change the culture of the digitization of patents in Argentina“, said to Infobae the owner of Acara, Ricardo Salomé.
The customer does not have to go to the registry. They will be able to do all the procedures remotely. This saves costs and time. It will be an important evolution for the entire sector (Salomé)
“We are very happy to be able to start this project that we expect to finish by the second half of 2022. This is highly desired by the dealers to facilitate the procedures for all customers. Times are totally dynamic. The customer does not have to go to the registry. They will be able to do all the procedures remotely. This saves costs and time. It is going to be an important evolution for the entire sector ”, he added.
At the meeting, it was highlighted that the implementation and use of the digital signature is a key element that allows expediting the processing of any request, without the need to print it on paper, preserving its authenticity, original character and above all guaranteeing the authorship and integrity of digitally signed documents.
It, it was assured, allows electronic documents to be digitally signed with the same legal validity as a handwritten signature and is under the control of the signer at all times.
