About a thousand Israelis gathered near Gaza Street in West Jerusalem, carrying banners and cartoons accusing Benjamin Netanyahu’s government of failure, and demanding the resignation of the Israeli Prime Minister.

The occupation police, who took strict security measures in the area to prevent the progress of the demonstrators, closed the roads leading to Gaza Street with iron barriers.

The demonstrators chanted slogans “Guilty, Guilty” to Prime Minister Netanyahu in front of police barriers and poured red paint on the street to represent the blood shed by Netanyahu.

Demonstration in Tel Aviv

Israelis also organized a demonstration in Tel Aviv to demand the release of prisoners held by Hamas.

The demonstration was attended by thousands of Israelis, in addition to relatives of prisoners.

Their relatives carried pictures of Israeli prisoners and chanted slogans in English and Hebrew: “Send them back to their homeland now.” (aa)
