MUBI, a global distributor, streaming service and production company, and Teodora Film announce that Strange way of lifenew short film Pedro Almodovar received critical acclaim, will be shown in Italian cinemas September 21until arrival exclusively at MUBI.

Director Pedro Almodovar (Madres Paralelas, All about my mother), presented by Saint Laurent Anthony Vaccarello and produced by El Deseo, Strange way of life plays Ethan Hawke (First reformation, before dawn) AND Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us Mandalorian).
The short film, shot in the Tabernas Desert in AlmerÃa, tells the story of two men who meet again after twenty-five years. Music written Alberto Iglesiascostumes Mr. Saint Laurent To Anthony Vaccarello, also an associate producer of the project. The cast also includes young talents. Jason Fernandez, Jose Condessa, George Steen AND Manu Riosas well as actors like Pedro Casablanca AND Sarah Salamo.

Strange way of life world premiere in Cannes Film Festival 2023 and this is Almodóvar’s second short film in English after human voice 2020 played by Tilda Swinton.
Summary:
Ranchero Silva (Pedro Pascal) crosses the desert on horseback to visit his old friend Jake (Ethan Hawke), the sheriff of Bitter Creek, whom he hasn’t seen in 25 years. An evening of revelations, remembrances and reconciliations will follow. However, the next day, the discovery that they both have a connection to crime in the area suggests that their meeting is more than just a trip down memory lane.
