In Venezuela, Turpial Airlines announced that it will accept bitcoin, Paypal and Zelle as payment methods for the purchase of its tickets. This was reported by the specialized portal Aviacionline.

That portal took as its source the official Instagram of the company. “For the payment to be processed it is necessary for the passenger to issue the transaction confirmation code to the company along with the name of the account holder,” they clarified.

On the other hand, they detailed that Turpial Airlines operates with three Boeing 737-400 with capacity for 144 passengers divided into two classes. The company carries out domestic flights to the cities of Maracaibo, Porlamar, Puerto Ordaz and Valencia. It also makes international flights to places like Cancun (Mexico), Panama, Santo Domingo and Punta Cana (Dominican Republic).

“During the past year, the annual inflation rate in Venezuela reached 6,500%”, they highlighted in the article, where they remarked that the citizens of Venezuela have found an alternative with cryptocurrencies to overcome the devaluation of the Bolivar.
