Action and comedy at the debut of Mark Wahlberg on Netflix Indie Today

As we mentioned in the beginning of march, the Friday 6 Netflix added to his catalog Spencer’s Confidential, his new film that mixes action, comedy and thriller.

Directed by Peter Berg and starring Mark Wahlbergthe tape not only marks the fourth collaboration between the filmmaker behind Hancock and the actor Boogie Nightsbut that is the first feature film original in that they both work for Netflix.

Vaguely inspired by the book Wonderland Ace Atkins, the film features a cast composed by Winston Duke, Alan Arkin, Colleen Camp, Iliza Shlesinger, Bokeem Woodbine and Post Malone.

Spencer’s Confidential it tells the story of Spencer’s (Walhberg), a former police officer who usually surrounds the controversy, and that, outside of prison after spending five years behind bars, is about to leave for ever of Boston, where he worked for years as a private detective

But, before carrying out his plan to leave the city, Henry (Arkin), his mentor and former coach of boxing, and manages to convince him to help with Hawk (Duke), an athlete of MMA very promising that it has a character quite particular. So, in the company of the novice fighter, Spencer travels to Boston to face a history where the police corruption is mixed with the mafia dominican.

Wahlberg and Berg officiated producer along with Stephen Levinson, Toby Ascher and Neal H. Moritz, the producer of the saga of Fast & Furious, S. W. A. T. and XXXamong many other films.
