Addison Rae in Eli Roth’s Slasher

It turns out that Halloween isn’t the only time of year for horror.

Director Eli Roth brings blood, horror and turkey in the first teaser for Thanksgiving, the slasher film starring Patrick Dempsey, TikTok star Addison Rae and more. The film will be released in theaters for the holidays on November 17th.

Here’s the creepy logline: “After a Black Friday riot ends in tragedy, a mysterious Thanksgiving-inspired killer terrorizes Plymouth, Massachusetts – home of the infamous holiday.”

The trailer shows the pilgrim-style killer bloodily stalking his victims, including one particularly chilling freezer murder.

“Thanksgiving” is the full vision of the fake trailer featured in Roth, Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez’s 2007 horror film “Grindhouse.” The original trailer stars Roth as a mysterious slasher film invades a small Massachusetts town during the holiday.

Much like the original fake Thanksgiving trailer that aired in Grindhouse, Rodriguez went on to adapt the Machete teaser into a 2010 feature film starring Danny Trejo. Notably, Machete also became its own franchise in the short-lived series.

The slasher film’s cast includes TikTok star Ray, Dempsey, Milo Manheim, Nell Verlac, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Dempsey, Rick Hoffman, Gina Gershon, Chris Sandiford, Tim Dillon and Tomaso Sanelli. Rae’s role in “Thanksgiving” comes after she recently debuted her single “2 Die 4,” which features pop artist Charli XCX.

“Thanksgiving” was co-written by Roth and Jeff Rendell. Roth also joins as a producer along with Roger Birnbaum.
