Chad Johnson recently caused a stir on social media when he told Shannon Sharpe that he beat LeBron James in a one-on-one matchup. In another episode of “Nightcap with UNC and Ocho,” Johnson claimed a 21-17 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers superstar. “Ocho” told his co-hosts that he could ask Carmelo Anthony and Dwyane Wade to back up their claims. The former Cincinnati Bengals superstar even took off his glasses to show Sharp that he wasn’t lying.
Johnson’s bold claims aren’t over yet. If he were to play in today’s NBA, here’s what “Ocho” would say:
“I can come off the bench for the Heat right now (and win) Sixth Man of the Year. Now! Don’t play games. That’s the way I am, man. You just think (I can’t) because I’m old. “Age is nothing but a Numbers, man. “

LeBron James will play with a more balanced, stronger bench than last season
Davon Ham named Anthony Davis, LeBron James, Austin Reeves and D’Angelo Russell. He could mention a big man like Jaxon Hayes or a forward like Jared Vanderbilt. Regardless, the Los Angeles Lakers will have a more balanced and stronger roster than last season.
None of the Lakers’ bench players are favorites to win the Sixth Man of the Year award. However, they are expected to play an important role in the team, especially with the NBA implementing new rules of resting players.
LeBron James may not have Chad Johnson on his team, but Los Angeles Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka has done a great job reshaping the roster. Despite his claims, “Ocho” might not even be able to bench him with a role player like “King James.”
