However, the ranking of the top 100 NBA players in the 2023-24 season has attracted a lot of attention. Although the first place is the well-deserved Finals MVP “Joker” Nikola Jokic, the ranking assigned to LeBron James shocked the audience. This time, not only “Joker”, but Stephen and Luca also transcended legends.

While to some, this ranking is unreasonable, Skip Bayless has some cold hard facts to justify them.

However, even in his late 30s, the four-time MVP remained an extremely influential player in the league. The Kings are still averaging a staggering 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game. However, the problem of frequent injuries seems to have caught up with James.

The problem has become more acute with the additions of Luka Doncic and Stephen Curry over LeBron James. His inability to single-handedly change games makes the rankings more susceptible to the Lakers’ success last season. However, a team’s output does not equate to a player’s longevity.

With Stephen Curry at No. 6 and Luka Doncic at No. 2, it’s time for LeBron James to reclaim his throne.

Can LeBron James regain his spot after the revenge game?

LeBron James’ legacy has taken a heavy blow as more hungry and capable players enter the league. However, the fact that he will play less than 70 games in the 2022-2023 season justifies this ranking.

Is this a matchup of legends, or is he about to make a comeback like the evergreens Tom Brady or Novak Djokovic? If players like Anthony Davis and LeBron James can get revenge in the opener against the Denver Nuggets, it will be a remarkable spectacle.
