To help maintain healthy local air conditions, residents and businesses are also encouraged to voluntarily undertake certain pollution reduction activities, such as:
- Fuel up cars and trucks after 6:00 p.m.

- Turn up the thermostat 2-3 degrees from 2:00pm to 7:00pm, and set the programmable thermostat to a higher temperature when no one is home. The best energy-saving temperature is 78 degrees.
