Air quality drops again in Delhi and National Capital Region: How can allergy and sinus sufferers stay safe?

Delhi and the National Capital Territory are currently facing poverty and have extremely poor air quality. Several factors play a huge role in determining the air quality in the area. Some people are more likely to suffer from poor air quality index than others. These people suffer from asthma, allergies, allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, COPD, lung problems, and more. These people suffer from breathing problems, severe nasal congestion, frequent sneezing and fever. Here are some tips to help them stay safe and healthy through it all.

  1. Always wear a mask when going out. Regular cotton masks may not help, wearing an N95 mask helps filter toxins and pollutants.
  2. Plant plants at home to purify the air. This will make your respiratory and allergy symptoms better. There are many plants that help purify the air naturally.
  3. Get an air purifier for your house.
  4. Take steam to relieve nasal congestion.
  5. Only take prescription nose drops after consulting your doctor.
  6. Washing your hair with warm water can also help relieve nasal congestion.
  7. Keep doors and windows closed at all times.
  8. Quit bad habits like smoking or drinking, at least for a while. Smoking makes your lungs function worse. Alcohol, on the other hand, can sometimes worsen nasal congestion.
