MILAN \ ais \ – Subjective gallery presented the September program at its headquarters in recent days Milan. Among the works that characterize the manifestations of Polish cinema are two classics of Hollywood cinema, such as Casablanca by Michael Curtis, the scene of one of the most famous love stories in cinema, between Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, and Boogie Nights by Paul Thomas. Anderson is the second film by the Californian director who, at the age of 27, placed him among the most prominent authors of American cinema, a role he still holds today. Both relevant posters are signed by Andrzej Krajewski, one of the leading exponents of the school of film illustration that emerged in Poland after the end of World War II: the fact that the communist regime censored much of Western cultural production allowed a generation of Polish artists to develop a completely original style, divorced from the standards of communication that have now developed in the West, considering the film poster not as a commercial vehicle for the film, but as an independent work of art. A giant of Polish cinema such as Krzysztof Kieślowski will instead feature three posters inspired by the Trilogy of Flowers, including Red Film by Hong Kong artist Wikto Ngai.
