Alberta Ferretti and Sotheby’s together for Emilia Romagna

They have been worn by the most glossy celebrities in every field including Angelina Jolie, Sharon Stone, Amanda Seyfried, Eva Longoria, Cate Blanchett and are now ready to go on an online auction to support families and businesses in Emilia-Romagna. Romagna suffered from floods.

“The idea for this charity auction was born in me in the days when I was preparing my fashion show in Rimini and images of the incredible damage caused by the flood were on the news,” the designer tells the press. “I immediately thought that it was important to actively participate in fundraising to support our region. So in addition to being actively involved in donations with the support of our employees and creating sweatshirts, the proceeds of which will go to charity, I decided to launch a special clothing auction.” And here they are on display tomorrow and Wednesday (July 11 and 12) at the Milan headquarters of the auction house, on Corso Venezia, in the halls of the Palazzo Serbelloni.

“Going to Sotheby’s was a spontaneous act,” continues Alberta Ferretti, “because it is the absolute reference point in this sector. I am very grateful to all his team for such professional support in this activity, which I hope will contribute to the recovery in such heavily affected areas.” The Milan House echoes this sentiment, stating: “We are thrilled to be partnering with Alberta Ferretti on this very special auction. It’s not every day that you get the pleasure of combining these two disciplines – fashion and art – but it’s even more exciting to do it while raising the necessary funds for such an important cause.

Not only that, the clothes will be on display alongside the Porsche Carreras collection that RM Sotheby’s will put up for auction on July 12, but they will also be in great company with the new designs of the next Design auction in September 2023. Stay tuned.
