Alianza thrashed, but the match was suspended due to an attack on the referee | Cuyo’s diary

A real scandal was experienced on the hot afternoon this Sunday at the Centenario Stadium in Santa Lucía, when Alianza won 3-0 and the referee decided to suspend the match after receiving an attack from a Peñaflor footballer.

The first leg of the provincial final of the Regional Amateur Tournament passed normally and Lechuzo scored three goals from Cristian Villegas, Gustavo Pereyra and Matías González.

However, 33 minutes into the second half, with the match almost finished, the Peñaflor player Exequiel Navarro reacted in the worst way to an arbitration ruling and headed the judge Sebastián Márquez from Mendoza.

The referee decided to immediately suspend the match because the blow caused him dizziness and now it will be the Disciplinary Court of the Superior Council that defines the steps to follow.

Initially, the return is scheduled for next Sunday at the Augusto Pulenta de San Martín stadium, but we will have to wait.
