All municipalities in Tenerife with poor air quality: 19

The Emergency and Safety Coordination Center 112 issued a statement on poor air quality in 19 cities this Saturday Tenerife Smoke from forest fires.

112 reminds that sensitive groups that may be affected are people with respiratory or heart diseases such as asthma, chronic bronchitis and emphysema, children, pregnant women and the elderly, people who engage in strenuous physical activity, and people with limited mobility.

Symptoms they may experience are coughing, irritation of the eyes, nose or throat; shortness of breath, chest discomfort, palpitations, fatigue; and worsening symptoms in people with pre-existing respiratory or heart conditions.

Therefore, it is advisable to avoid staying outside for strenuous or prolonged physical activity, keep doors and windows closed, and if you have air conditioning, put it on recirculation mode and clean the filters.

Outdoors, an FFP2 mask is recommended to avoid respiratory problems and to protect the eyes as much as possible, washing the eyes if necessary.
