Shortly after the “Hello” singer and Paul made their relationship Instagram official, Adele opened up Fashion about their sweet romance.

“Rich has just arrived incredibly,” she said of her boyfriend in November 2021. “I don’t feel anxious, nervous or exhausted. Quite the opposite. It’s wild.”

Adele also revealed that they first met a few years before they started dating, at a party where she was “a little drunk.” Then she joked: “Do you want to sign a contract with me? Now I’m an athlete.”

Quality time

Although they don’t appear to have tied the knot yet, Adele has no hesitation in declaring her devotion to Paul. In September 2023, during her residency in Las Vegas, she referred to the sports agent as her “husband.”

“You can’t marry me. I’m straight, my love, and my husband is here tonight,” Adele told the adoring female contestant in a video posted to TikTok.

In a candid interview with Oprah, Adele also noted that her relationship with her lover was also the first time she “loved herself and was open to loving and being loved by someone else.”

The basketball court is a likely place for Paul, a high-powered sports agent who represents the likes of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Trae Young and many others. Paul founded his own agency, Klutch Sports Group, in 2012.

A night to remember

Paul joined his singer friend at the 2023 Grammy Awards, where she took home the Golden Gramophone for Best Pop Solo Performance for her hit “Easy on Me.”

As she took the stage to accept the award, Adele excitedly dedicated the win to her son. As she began to cry, she mockingly scolded herself on behalf of her beau.

“Oh God, Richie!” – she began, resorting to imitation of her old love. “He said, ‘Don’t cry! If you win anything tonight, don’t cry!” And now I’m crying.”
