American actor Michael B Jordan to design a kit for Bournemouth owner Bill Foley

Bill Foley says Hollywood star Michael B Jordan will design a kit for Bournemouth.

The Bournemouth boss confirmed in an interview with CBS Sports that Jordan will help create a kit that is “coming soon”.

When Foley completed his takeover of Bournemouth in 2022, he invited minority investors, including Jordan, to participate in the club’s new ownership structure. The investment is Jordan’s first foray into professional sports ownership.

“Mike is a great guy,” Foley said.

“He’s a very down-to-earth, ordinary guy. He doesn’t have stars in his eyes. He loves football.

“He’s really helped us with some of our international marketing and U.S. marketing. He’s designing a kit that will be available for sale soon.

“He’s engaged and we’re delighted to have him. I’m sure he’ll be at Bournemouth today and tomorrow to watch training. He’s giving it his all and it’s great to have him – he’s a great guy.”

Jordan rose to fame for his performances in the films “Fruitville Station,” “Tenet” and “Black Panther,” earning widespread recognition for his charismatic on-screen presence.

In addition to acting, the 36-year-old is involved in producing projects that promote diversity and representation in the entertainment industry.

Umbro is Bournemouth’s current kit supplier.

Bournemouth initially partnered with Umbro ahead of the 2017-18 season and signed a new five-year deal with the brand in 2021 to continue as the club’s technical equipment supplier.

The Premier League side will play Queens Park Rangers in the FA Cup third round this Saturday.
