Andrea Bocelli sings at the coronation of King Charles

There will be also Andrea Bocelli among the artists who, on Sunday 7 May, will perform at Windsor Castle on the occasion of the coronation celebrations of King Charles III.

The tenor from Lajatico is one of the big names on the international music scene such as Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Take That invited to sing at the grand event, to be held the day after the official coronation. For the occasion Andrea Bocelli, the only Italian, will duet with the British baritone Sir Bryn Terfel on the notes of “You’ll Never Walk Alone”.

In recent years, the tenor from Lajatico has already been a guest of the British Crown and in particular of the Queen Elizabeth II, as in 2016 for the celebrations of his 90th birthday and in 2022 on the occasion of the Platinum Jubilee.

In a post on his Facebook page, Bocelli said he was “Grateful for this priceless privilege: to lend my voice to the soundtrack of an event that already promises to be historic. I have sung for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II many times in the past, and It is a great honor to be called upon to perform for the coronation of King Charles III on a day eagerly awaited by all the world.”
