A few days ago, the film’s official artbook was released in the US, including a large amount of discarded concept art, concept art, and preliminary ideas that the creative team took into account during development. The volume also contains unpublished statements Andrew Garfieldwho, speaking about the future of his Spider-Man, explained:
The story never ends… Whether we take it to the movies or not, there is a story that takes place somewhere in the universe, so this character and other iterations have endless potential. So yes, he’s definitely doing something right now!
Inevitably, these statements can only fuel the hopes of fans who, since the release Spiderman: No Way Home seeking release The Incredible Spider-Man 3. At least officially, Sony is not developing the project, as it focuses on its own cinematic universe (CVM) and animation projects.
Garfield himself, for his part, intends to reprise the role, as explained months ago:
As far as continuing to tell the character’s story, I’m definitely open to doing that. But it must be something truly unique and special, in the service of the audience and the character himself. I think there is something unique, joyful, strange and unexpected. I’m still not sure what it could be, but if we can all figure it out together, it’ll be really fun!
