Pepe Aguilar’s daughter is proud of her Mexican roots
The day of the dead is approaching, this party is celebrated from November 1 to 2 in Mexico and Halloween will be celebrated prior to this party in the United States.
Ángela Aguilar, faithful to her Mexican tradition, shared on Instagram a makeup and wardrobe where she gives life to the famous Catrina. This famous Aztec character was created by José Guadalupe Posada, the drawing as such responded to the name of “La Calavera Garbancera”. The character has a centuries-old tradition, and it is that this female figure was born as a mockery of all those indigenous people who, after having known and obtained good fortune and wealth, despised their origins.
From “La Calavera Garbancera” it was renamed “La Catrina” when the drawing reached Diego Rivera’s murals .
The image of the now “Catrina” has inspired many, especially at parties such as Halloween and the Day of the Dead in Mexico, which is why Angela Aguilar brings her to life in her own skin.
“In Mexico we undo death with nostalgia and sweetness. I love the tradition of # ElDíaDeMuertos because we celebrate with much love all our loved ones who are no longer physically with us, but who can always remain in our hearts and in our memories. 🌼🌵✨💀🇲🇽 ”, said the young singer, daughter of Pepe Aguilar.
