Angela Bassett is among the stars who will receive an Honorary Oscar for Lifetime Achievement during the 2023 Governors Awards, along with Mel Brooks and Carol Littleton.

Along with the honorary awards, the Academy will also present the Sundance Institute’s Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award to Michelle Sater. All four statues will be presented on November 18 at the 14th Annual Humanitarian and Honorary Recognition Ceremony in Los Angeles.
