Angelina Jolie shares an emotional letter from a young Afghan woman in her networks

(CNN Spanish) – Angelina Jolie used her social networks to comment on the political situation in Afghanistan.

“Right now, the people of Afghanistan are losing the ability to communicate on social media and to express themselves freely. So I came to Instagram to share their stories and the voices of those around the world who are fighting for their basic human rights. ” These were the words of Jolie, who also shared excerpts from a letter that would have been handwritten by a young Afghan woman.

In the manuscript, the young woman expresses her wishes to be able to work and study, and tells of the fear that she and her family felt when receiving the visit of the Taliban in their own home: “One day they came to our house and we were all scared and then from that day I thought at what time should I go to school in the morning in this situation, because of its existence ”. And he added: “We all lost our freedom and are incarcerated again.”
