Anne Hathaway’s ‘Havoc’ Scene Goes Viral on TikTok

If you think you’ve seen everything in Anne Hathaway’s repertoire, think again. One of the scenes from her film went viral on TikTok for a surprising reason: people did not know about the existence of this film.

Scene from the 2005 film. chaos, which follows a group of young teenagers who travel to East Los Angeles to “experience the ‘gangster’ lifestyle first-hand.” The film features a stellar cast including Channing Tatum, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bijou Phillips, Shiri Appleby and Josh Peck.

In the viral video, Hathaway’s character, Ali, sits in her locker at school and tells her friends about how she was arrested and sent to jail the night before. “Ali, you’re so damn depressed, like you’re having a hard time and stuff,” the friend replies.

While walking down the hallway, Ali runs into three guys doing a terrible job of pretending to be a gang, played by none other than Mike Vogel, Tatum and Gordon-Levitt. “Hey, she was in jail, motherfucker, what?” Ali’s friend tells Vogel’s character, who replies, “Going to jail is screwed up

On TikTok, many users marveled at the characters’ inconsistent accents (“Why did they say that?”) and wondered at the film’s existence. “This movie never existed on my side of the Matrix,” one user wrote, while another asked, “How do Anne Hathaway, Channing Tatum, Shiri Appleby and Joseph Gordon-Levitt exist in the same universe?” A fan joked: “I’ve never seen that deleted scene from The Princess Diaries.»

There is good reason for some confusion. chaos was released straight to DVD in the US. Internationally, it received a limited theatrical release, grossing only $300,000 at the box office. It also didn’t go down well with critics, with a 45% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and an even worse 36% audience rating.
