After receiving huge backlash, the account responded by apologizing and claiming that his account had been hacked, but fans refused to believe it.
Representatives of NewJeans Global said: “I don’t know if you noticed, but we are currently being actively hacked. We don’t know what’s going on at all.”
The statement asked fans to bear with them while they sort things out, but BLACKPINK fans believe that it is all a façade and that the admin simply forgot to change the account before commenting on the post.

The user said: “Stop pretending you got hacked. You just forgot to switch your account!”
Following this, the fan account switched its Twitter account to private and posted an official statement, which has now been deleted, which read: “Please forgive us for our incompetence, we have switched to private mode to avoid being blocked due to replies and comments that we received.”
They went on to apologize to fans who felt victimized and stated that they do not “endorse” any form of harassment. Considering this their final response to the incident, they added that they were not in control of the situation.
