Registrations for Arezzo Wave 2023, the thirty-sixth edition of the music competition that brings Italian artists all over the world, opened on 7 March: here are all the details and how to participate
Arezzo Wave 2023: dedicated to Bruce and Hip Hop
A new year full of events for the Arezzo Wave Itali Foundationa, which confirms the historical projects on the Italian territory and its international vocation.
The competition, which over the years has launched numerous talents, including The Afterhours and the Lista Representative, up to the Piqued Jacks (who will represent San Marino at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023), starts again with live selections throughout Italythanks to a large network of regional partners.
The contest for the 2023 edition establishes two new categories: the first “50 years of Bruce Springsteen”, which celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of the first album of the Boss “Greetings from Asbury Park” and invites participants to adapt or reinterpret a piece from the repertoire of an artist who has made the history of music.
The second is “HIP HOP WAVE” is dedicated to all those who are under 25 and who can create a cover for the first 50 years since the birth of hip hop culture, when the first party with DJ Cool Herk was held in the Bronx.
“Every year the Arezzowave contest offers an unmissable opportunity for free to the new talents of Italian music“, says the President of the Foundation, Mauro Valenti:” We are the longest running and most participated Italian live competition with more than 52,000 registered over the years and with live selections in every region of Italy.”
Arezzo Wave 2023: jury and how to participate
Among the jurors this year also Sat Bislafounder of the A&R Worldwide Agency (Adele, Coldplay, Muse, Katy Perry) and organizer of one of the largest American showcase festivals, the Musexpo in Los Angeles where the bands and artists chosen by him among the finalists of the ArezzoWave Contest can play .
