Mumbai, September 28 (IANS): The trailer for the upcoming film Argyle, which was unveiled on Thursday, is as fast-paced and eccentric as it gets. The trailer opens with a dance between Henry Cavill and Dua Lipa before they get into intense action with gunshots, chases, explosions, crashes and pretty much everything that makes up the action movie genre, but there’s a twist.
All this happens inside a book written by its main character, Ellie Conway, a writer by profession.
When Ellie, played by Bryce Dallas Howard, boards the train, she meets a detective who turns out to be her crush, but this is where the real game begins when Conway learns that she is a hot target for murderers because of what was written about her. and this is mainly because whatever she conceives comes to fruition.
So now with killers in hot pursuit, her suitor/detective, played by Sam Rockwell, comes to her and rescues her pet cat, as viewers are once again immersed in a dizzying mix of high-jumping, high-speed, and jumping action. height. chase, and also a reference to Inglourious Basterds, or rather Alfred Hitchcock’s The Bomb Theory, when the killers, led by Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston, search for Ellie and the detective hiding under the wooden floor, but the cat gives them away.
Ellie finally learns of her prophecy in her letter when she is introduced to the real Agent Argyll (drum roll) Henry Cavill.
Other members of the star-studded cast include Catherine O’Hara, John Cena, Ariana DeBose and Samuel L. Jackson.
The film is directed and produced by Matthew Vaughn and written by Jason Fuchs.
The film will hit theaters on February 2 next year.
