Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater are no longer hiding their relationship from the public. DeuxMoi posted photos and videos of Grande and Slater unveiling at Disney World on Friday. The couple appeared with their hands tied. Both wore black sweatshirts, with Grande pairing hers with a pleated miniskirt and tights. You can see all the photos here on the DeuxMoi account.
TMZ also posted video of their trip and spoke to a source close to Grande about her and Slater’s visit. A source said Grande and Slater were with Grande’s mom, brother and a group of friends at a theme park in Orlando, Florida. The group had a private guide who took them from trip to trip.
The insider generally described Grande and Slater as “very happy together and very good to each other,” adding that “all her friends love him.”
This is Slater and Grande’s first outing since they each separately filed for divorce from their spouses and news of their relationship broke in July. Grande and her ex-husband Dalton Gomez filed for divorce on September 18, with both listing a separation date of February. They were married for two years.
Slater filed for divorce from his wife Lilly Jay in July. The former couple has a child together and have been dating for 10 years. The four of them were married.
Several sources reported this People in early September, Grande and Slater began dating only after breaking up with their respective partners. Grande and Slater met on the set of the film Wickedproduction of which began late last year.
“Although this whole situation is exaggerated, it is very different from what was portrayed publicly,” a friend of the couple told the publication. “They’re just trying to work out their new relationship in private.”
“They are doing their best to balance the fact that they are in the public eye with the desire to be respectful of all parties involved,” the second source added.
A third insider stressed that while “people have tried to question the timing,” their previous relationships didn’t overlap. Slater and Grande were friends and colleagues before they started dating.
Neither Slater nor Grande have commented on their relationship. However, Slater’s ex-wife Jay did speak out to the media, telling the Daily Mail in late July: “I’m focused on rebuilding a life for our son and rebuilding a life for him. That’s what I’m trying to do and that’s my only goal.”
She also told Page six then: “Really (Ariana’s) story. Not a girl. My family is just collateral damage.”
