Ariana Grande has reportedly begun work on a new album.
The “Thank U, Next” hitmaker was in the studio with producer Max Martin working on his follow-up to 2020’s “Positions.”
The pop star was focused on filming the two-part film “Wicked” in London, but during the SAG-AFTRA strike, when filming was suspended, she managed to make time for music.
An insider told The New York Post’s Page Six column, “Her priority has been Glinda (her character in ‘Wicked’) for the past two years, and she remains so as they haven’t finished the movie yet.”
She still has no idea when new music will be released.

Over the weekend, Ariana was asked if she had a title for her next studio appearance, to which she responded, “Let me do it first!”
Earlier this year, the 30-year-old singer responded after some unheard material was leaked online, admitting it was “impossible to hide anything” from her passionate fans.

Later in the video, the “7 Rings” hitmaker was asked if there were “any secrets coming soon.”

Back in February, Ariana returned to music with The Weeknd’s “Die For You” remix, teaming up with her friend and collaborator on a new version of his 2016 track from his album “Starboy.”
The “Dangerous Woman” singer previously reassured fans that she was still a singer and reminded them of her vocal prowess during her rendition of “Over the Rainbow” from the 1939 classic The Wizard of Oz.
When asked by a TikTok user why she is no longer a singer, she replied: “I’m literally on set every day filming two musical films.”
Ariana split from her husband Dalton Gomez in January after two years of marriage and has since been dating Broadway star Ethan Slater, 31, with whom she worked on Wicked.
