Available from September 1st on all digital platforms and on Art Attack radio, the new single from the Sicilian artist Liccardi, who has been active on the Bologna stage for many years as the guitarist of the band Lapara. A song by the singer-songwriter matrix about how you constantly balance between dream and reality, between passion and duty, between the choice of the heart and the choice imposed, and which talks about how life can go from staggering, like a “drunk ninja”, who tries not to make noise as he prepares in the dark to look for a bed to rest on, to find a form of sweet solution thanks to a person who is able to make an “Art attack” with the construction of love.

The musical inspiration is drawn from the modern Italian singer-songwriter of the Roman school, Fabi or del Bianco from “Guardare per Aria”. However, the use of phrasing, both acoustic and electric, that refer to foreign language-loving sounds, such as John Mayer’s American folk sounds from “Born And Raising”, remains important.

I wrote this at a very difficult time in my life, when, after the pandemic, I felt discouraged and insecure, without incentives and without a future. WHO IS LICCHARDI?
“Hi, I’m Michele, I’m 31 years old, I’m Sicilian, born in a small town in the province of Catania, but have been living in Bologna for several years. As they would say in the Bolognese dialect, I am par excellence a singer-songwriter of the peso! Or depression!
In fact, I would call myself more than a songwriter, my own psychologist; I write songs to heal myself and not risk going crazy. In fact, I have saved a lot of money on psychotherapy through my music in recent years, and this is the first major goal achieved.
I think there is nothing wrong with singing about your fears, obsessions, anxieties, and even if it were, then this is the only way I know.

Michele Liccardi was born in Catania on 09/29/1991. He soon begins to study electric guitar and participates in several blues and rock tribute bands in the province of Catania. He starts writing Italian songs at an older age and composes songs, some of which are on his first solo album; I am not an alternative songwriter for Noja Recordings by Carlo Barbagallo.
The music genre is influenced by the most classic rankings of Italian songwriters like De Gregory, Dalla and international songwriters like Bob Dylan, Nick Drake all the way to contemporary songwriters like Niccolo Fabi, Damien Rice, Bon Iver, Ben Howard . In fact, Lichardi’s musical research is based on matching the textuality of Italian songwriters’ dialogue with more international and foreign sounds.
Since 2018 he has been the guitarist of the Bolognese indie pop band Lapara, with whom he has released two EPs. For two years, in collaboration with Antonio Polidoro’s Milan studio BlapStudio, he has been working on his second solo album, which will be released next year.
