The Cuban people have raised their voices through historic demonstrations against the current regime and the health, food, economic and social crisis in which the country is mired. Thousands of people have flooded the streets of Cuba to show their tiredness, but those protests and those cries of unanimity have reached all parts of the world, and the art world (singers, musicians, actors, etc.) have mobilized on social networks in support of the demands of Cubans.
Under the hashtag #SOSCuba, crowd of world-renowned artists have launched messages of solidarity with the Cuban people, especially Latinos who are the ones who are most closely experiencing the mobilizations. Among the Cubans, the singer Camila Cabello stands out for example. “Covid deaths are rising rapidly and due to the lack of medicines, resources, basic goods and even food, many people are dying,” he says on his Instagram profile, continuing: “Our brave people take to the streets to protest this humanitarian crisis and the people of Cuba urgently need our help. Please spread this message.”

“My people need humanitarian intervention now!! YOU CAN NO LONGER COVER THE SUN WITH A FINGER. I won’t stop until my Cuba heals,” the Cuban writes. Yotuel. “A shame to let people die for their pride. Please join the #SOSCUBA to speak up for so many people who are suffering,” adds his partner, Spanish singer Beatriz Luengo.
Ricky Martin has also shown his support for Cuba: “This is very important. Our brothers and sisters in #Cuba need us to inform the world of what they are experiencing today. Let’s fill the networks before they take away the internet in the country. Humanitarian aid for Cuba NOW.”
“It breaks my heart to see the situation in Cuba. I continue to live the same pain with my country that I love like nothing and I am here supporting them as at the time people from other countries supported mine,” Karol G writes on his Twitter account. “Cuba needs us today!” he adds Julieta Venegas, next to a video in which she herself gives a message of support.

From Spain has also published a message the artist Alejandro Sanz, with great relevance in Latin America, under the hashtag of #SOSCuba or a flag of the country. Same reaction as Daddy Yankee’s. “I want my cuba free! The Cuban people are desperate! I’m with them as I’ve always been!” writes Gloria Estefan.
