Ashley drove from New York to Nebraska last month on the advice of his mother, and although initially showed skepticism about the idea, know that it was the right decision.
He recently said: “When they began to get news about the pandemic of COVID-19, my mother decided to come back to my hometown of Lincoln, Nebraska. She said: ‘Well, why don’t we drive? We can go to my house.’
“All were skeptical:” how to Drive to Nebraska? It is 20 hours! ” But in reality it was the right decision for us, because we could spend time not only with her but with my husband Justin [Ervin’s] parents, who met us here after a week. It has been nice to have a family around us; We are fortunate enough to have this base. I have my cup of coffee in New York right in front of me and I miss the city and my friends, but I’m glad that we have come “.
In the meantime, she tried to focus on the positive aspects during the closure, explaining that it would have returned to work after maternity leave if it had not been for the global pandemic.
She added: “I’m having that time, which would not have been able to have. I am incredibly blessed”.
