Asks that his son be referred for an unhealed wound: he claims he was poorly cared for

Elsa Mirta Gualpa recounted the course of her son Horacio Rosane (48), who had a poorly healed wound turned into a chronic disease. A few years ago they had him with antibiotics for a month and a half and a study indicated that this remedy did not work. Ask for the referral.

The woman says that almost 10 years ago her son had a motorcycle accident. And he was in a wheelchair. “He has a pension, and he receives help from Toay’s disability area, they give him a box of vegetables and food,” he explains.

But the claim is for the care he received at the Molas Hospital. “In 2018 he had an eschar. He was never cured again. On November 17, 2020, he had a turn to undergo a biopsy and it was suspended because there was no operating room, “he said.

In May 2021, he was finally admitted and studied. “The result says that he had osteomyelitis. He was interned from May 23 to July 9. They discharged him, but he had to be admitted again on September 1 ”, Elsa recalls, forced hospitalizations due to the lack of healing from that wound.

“He is discharged on October 15. And then they do a scintigraphy. There it turns out that the antibiotics he took for a month and a half failed! How can it be!”says the woman, unable to hide her indignation. “If they do a culture and know what he has, how do they give him an antibiotic that failed,” he said.

When he found out about this, he went to the Ministry of Health. A secretary of the Undersecretary of Health, Gustavo Vera attended her. “They still don’t know what they are going to do. I ask them to refer him to another place and to put him in a good infectious disease specialist. Because it cannot be that since 2018 they cannot heal a wound! ”, Said the woman.

Gualpa remarks that his son Horacio, although he is in a wheelchair, paints and does carpentry work. “He has strength, he is happy. And since he lives in front of the Hospital, he is so lucky, he crosses paths. But it can no longer be what happens. I want them to derive it ”, reiterates Elsa Gualpa.
